This the ARC-2R Archer I did for the Battletech-Movie fan film project "Expect No Mercy"( [link] ). The guys at Mektek ( [link] ) and BT-M would know that I finished this mesh way back in January, but i just couldnt be bothered to post it, and also because i've been inactive for a while, so why not now?
Hm, OK, for this model I just wanted the details to come out naturally, unlike my previous models. So I started, and on the first day of WIP pics, Col. Gooseman approached me to contribute the model to BT-M once I was done. No small honour, considering those others that work at BT-M are the best mech modelers i've ever seen. OF course I said yes
Well, so under some BT-M staff guidance and some comments on Mektek, I completed the model, and contributed it to BT-M. After that, Col. Gooseman asked me if i'd like to model another mech for them. I said yes again, and became part of the BT-M team . So, now i'm working alot on mech modeling, trying to make my models as breathtaking as all the other models there at BT-M, which explains why i've not been rendering scenes lately .
So, anyway, watch out for a more recent model coming out soon
Modeled in: Lightwave 3D [8]
Rendered in: Lightwave 3D [8]
Text in: Macromedia Fireworks MX 2k4
Final Polycount: 183940 Polygons
Well I saw it in it's production, but this is the first time I have seen the completed model.
Wow.
Not suprised it got picked for BT-M. It's a fantastic piece of work!

Few people understand the psycology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. Your normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop heart. Make the bastard chase you, he will follow.
An fantastic model! As someone who's been playing the B-Tech tabletop game since it first came out, as well as someone who used to work for FASA, I gotta say this in an *incredible* model of the Archer (one of my fave mechs of all time)

beef up the upper arms a bit and make sure the missiles on the bottom of the rack come out cleanly, might try orienting the rack a little differently. otherwise I'd say it's cool

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant.
